WS Scatter Chart
The WS Scatter Chart Widget is used to visualize relationships between two numerical variables by plotting them as points on an X-Y axis. It’s perfect for showing correlations, distributions, and clusters.
Step 1: Add the Widget
Open the Widget Panel, go to the Charts & Tables section, and select the WS Scatter Chart Widget onto your page.
Step 2: Connect to Data Model
With the WS Scatter Chart selected, go to the Property Editor. In the Data Model field, choose a dataset containing at least two numerical fields for plotting points.
Step 3: Configure Row (X-axis)
Set up the Row, which defines the field for the X-axis (e.g., age, time, cost).
Step 4: Add and Configure Datasets
Under Datasets, select the field for the Y-axis.
Column: Pick a numerical field (e.g., income, height, score).
Summarize By: Choose an aggregation if needed.
Optionally, add more datasets or define additional attributes such as point size or color to represent extra dimensions (e.g., bubble chart style).
Step 5: Preview and Interact
Switch to Run Mode to preview. Hover over points for detailed values, and use zoom or filters to explore data clusters and correlations.
