WS Pie Chart
The WS Pie Chart Widget is used to visualize data as proportional slices of a circle. Each slice represents a category’s contribution to the whole. This widget is perfect for displaying relative percentages, shares, or composition of a dataset.
Step 1: Add the Widget
Open the Widget Panel on the left, go to the Charts & Tables section, and select the WS Pie Chart Widget onto your page.
Step 2: Connect to Data Model
With the WS Pie Chart selected, navigate to the Property Editor. In the Data Model field, choose a data source that contains categorical (for slices) and numerical data (for values).
Step 3: Configure Row (Categories)
Set up the Row, which defines the categories or groups that will be displayed as slices of the pie. Examples: product type, region, department.
Step 4: Add and Configure Datasets
Under the Datasets section, define the numerical field that determines the size of each slice.
Column: Select a numerical field (e.g., sales, percentage, count).
Summarize By: Choose an aggregation method (e.g., sum, average, count).
You can configure options like showing percentages, absolute values, and labels on slices.
Step 5: Preview and Interact
Use Run Mode to preview the chart. Hover over slices to view tooltips with exact values or percentages.
